The purpose of this non-profit organization is to promote intercollegiate athletics at Virginia Union
University; to cultivate and maintain spirit among its members; and to promote the interests of alumni
and friends of VUU the athletic program of the University. All membership fees and funds collected
are used for the sole purpose of benefiting the athletic program of Virginia Union University. The
organization accepts the responsibility for compliance with the NCAA, the University, and other
applicable policies relative to the organization.

Empowering Student Athletes to Reach Their Full Potential
Active membership is composed of all alumni and friends of the University who have paid annual dues
at a rate determined by the organization’s Board of Directors. Honorary membership consists of all
alumni and friends who, in the opinion of the Board of Directors, have made such contributions to the
University that such individual should be recognized by the organization. The Board of Directors may, in
its discretion, establish other classes of membership.
